Why Base produces the risks it does

When deployment costs cents, an attacker can afford to launch a hundred tokens and keep the one that gains attention. The practical consequence is that a fresh deployer with no history is the norm rather than the exception, so an empty deployer record on Base tells you much less than an empty record on Ethereum. It also means the same code is redeployed constantly, which makes contract fingerprinting and prior-scan history more useful than deployer reputation.

Base's low cost has produced a large population of near-identical tokens deployed from the same templates. Reused bytecode is not itself a warning sign, but it means an owner-privilege pattern that appeared in one token will appear in hundreds. ScanZX fingerprints contract identity so a match against a previously scanned high-risk contract is visible.

Liquidity thin enough that the chart is not the market

A pool of a few thousand dollars can produce a convincing price chart and cannot absorb a real exit. On Base this gap between displayed market capitalisation and actual pool depth is the single most common way a position becomes unsellable without any malicious contract code being involved at all.
