Comparison
ScanZX vs GoPlus Security
This comparison is unusual and worth stating plainly: GoPlus is one of the data sources ScanZX queries. Every ScanZX report on a supported chain includes a GoPlus cross-check. So the question is not which tool is better — it is whether you want a raw security data feed or a report that combines several sources, reconciles their disagreements and explains the result.
GoPlus Security is an independent product and is not affiliated with ScanZX. This page describes what each tool is designed for; it makes no claim about GoPlus Security’s current feature set, which can change at any time. For what GoPlus Security does today, check their own site — and check this page’s claims about ScanZX against the product itself.
What each one is
ScanZX
ScanZX is an application built on top of several independent sources — direct on-chain reads over RPC, block explorer data, DexScreener market data, read-only sell simulation and the GoPlus API.
Its job is to combine those into one explainable report with a weighted score, a confidence score, source attribution per finding, and an explicit record of what could not be checked.
GoPlus Security
GoPlus Security provides token and contract security data through a public API, covering contract properties, trading restrictions and address risk indicators across many chains.
It is designed to be consumed programmatically and is used as a data layer by many other products, including ScanZX.
Side by side
What ScanZX does not do
- Score personal wallets or portfolios. The scanner requires contract code at the address and rejects an ordinary wallet address.
- Audit source code. ScanZX reads contract properties and behaviour; it does not perform a manual security audit and is not a substitute for one.
- Predict price, or advise on buying or selling anything. There are no recommendations anywhere in the product.
- Detect intent. It measures whether a harmful action is possible and how concentrated that ability is — never whether anybody plans to take it.
- Cover every chain. The deep scan runs on five EVM chains; other chains DexScreener lists receive a baseline market scan only, and that is labelled as such.
- Guarantee that a token is sound. Every report states observed risk, the checks that could not run, and a confidence score for exactly this reason.
Which one fits
GoPlus Security is likely the better fit when
- You are building your own product and want to implement your own scoring on raw fields.
- You need broad chain coverage from a single data endpoint.
- You want to integrate security data directly into your own interface.
ScanZX is likely the better fit when
- You want a finished report rather than fields to interpret yourself.
- You want multiple independent sources cross-checked, with disagreements surfaced rather than hidden.
- You want to publish a report for other people to read, and to be alerted when something material changes.
Common questions
If ScanZX uses GoPlus, why not just use GoPlus directly?
If you are a developer building your own scoring, going direct may well be the right call, and this page is not going to argue otherwise. ScanZX adds independent sources on top — direct chain reads, explorer data, market data and read-only sell simulation — plus the reconciliation, weighting, confidence model and shareable report around them.
What happens if GoPlus is unavailable during a scan?
The report records the provider as unavailable and lowers the confidence score. The other sources still run. Nothing is assumed in place of the missing data.
Does ScanZX just repeat what GoPlus says?
No. Where GoPlus disagrees with on-chain or explorer data on the same fact, the disagreement is recorded as a conflict and reduces confidence. Surfacing that is one of the main reasons multiple sources are queried at all.
See for yourself
The most useful comparison is one you run: scan a token you already understand and see whether the report tells you what you expected. Start from the scanner, read the methodology, or check chain coverage first.
Other comparisons:
Cryptoassets are high risk and you could lose all money used to buy them. ScanZX reports observed warning signs and data gaps at scan time — it never certifies that a token is safe, it is not financial advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy or sell.
